The 7th World One Health Congress (WOHC), the world’s premier event to advance the One Health agenda, will be held in Singapore from November 7 to 11, 2022, at the iconic Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands.

Director of SDGHI and Co-Chairman of the WOHC 2022 Steering Committee Associate Professor Tan Hiang Khoon said, “The 7th World One Health Congress will host critical discussions and promote integrated regional and global efforts that are critical to preventing, predicting, preparing for, and responding to crises, as well as ensuring our planet’s healthy and sustainable future.”

The theme of this year’s Congress, ‘Integrating Science, Policy, and Clinical Practice: A One Health Imperative Post-COVID-19,’ will be promoted by Singapore’s SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) under the auspices of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, and will promote multi-sectoral efforts and collaborations that advance a ‘whole of society’ approach and perspective to health hazards and risk management.

The President of the Republic of Singapore, Halimah Yacob, will be the event’s Guest-of-Honour and will deliver the Opening Address on November 7. The global One Health movement seeks to improve health and well-being by preventing and mitigating crises at the animal-human-environment interface.

More than 120 speakers from organisations around the world, such as the World Bank, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will come together to share their knowledge and experiences across five distinct scientific tracks, spanning themes from One Health Science to Pandemic Preparedness and Health Systems Resilience.

The Congress will offer a hybrid experience with renowned keynote speakers, expert plenary lectures, scientific sessions with abstract presentations, panel discussions on pressing and emerging issues from representatives all around the world.

The WOHC is now acceptin registrations for both in-person and virtual attendance. Visit www.worldonehealthcongress.org for more information on the congress and its speakers, or follow the congress on Twitter and Facebook.
