Build your strength at the rock climbing gyms

Here’s a true story, my best friend was an active rock climber, she often invited me to tag along with her bouldering friends for an activity. But you know, the world has never seen two fit best friends—one of them has to be the lazy lad who refuses to work out. However, the more I’ve been exposed to the rock climbing world, the more I fell in love with it. Though, I never get to fully master the art of spider-climbing (just yet).

For those of you who have never tried the wall-crawl experience before and finally fancy yourself with one, let me tell you, it’s not as easy as it seems. But afraid not, of course there are plenty of places that offer beginner courses. But remember to listen carefully to the instructions—and whatever you do, do not look down. Just don’t. My advice is just be prepared to unleash your inner member of the S.E.A.L team, jumping around the wall and hitting the given target.

Bouldering or rock climbing is actually one of the most sought after indoor activities. They focused mainly on your biceps (of course), triceps, upper body strength and your overall stamina. It’s the matter of maintaining your endurance, getting over your fear of heights and of course to poke a bit of fun on yourself. Does it make you feel giddy? Good. Be sure to invest in the best rock climbing shoes if you could, but most places will offer their own so don’t fuss about it. Here are some of the best rock climbing places in Singapore to visit this weekend!
