Casio Singapore has collaborated with Singaporean contemporary artist, Jahan Loh to launch the limited-edition G-SHOCK GA-110JAH22-2A.
This exclusive model is based on the digital-analog GA-110 Series, a G-SHOCK model which has garnered immense popularity worldwide.
The collaboration model exudes vibrant blue, a signature colour which is often associated with Jahan Loh’s art paintings. Whereas its face, band ring and buttons are accented with contrasting pink.
At the band and back of the panel, it features a striking design of words, “I Have Seen The Future”. Whereas, “The Future Is Not Something For Mankind To Predict” was inscribed as a statement piece on the strap.
Upon close inspection, the face of the G-SHOCK watch has pink hues with Jahan Loh’s signature at the 3 o’clock point and the coordinates of Singapore are printed on the face of the watch.
The cartoon illustrates his hypothetical scenario of what might have happened in 2006. The impressive design of the watch and special packaging signifies the artistic elements of Jahan’s world of graphic marvels.
The collaboration model of G-SHOCK and Jahan Loh is a time capsule that commemorates his last graffiti work in Singapore, which was produced in the early aughts on a building in Ann Siang Hill that had been sealed off for conservation.
The GA-110JAH22-2ADR which retails for $219, comes with a special box designed by Jahan Loh. It will be available in all G-SHOCK stores. On the other hand, the GA-110JAH22-2SPCBOX which is priced at $239, comes with Special Peranakan House packaging, which is inspired by the street art at Club St painted by Jahan Loh. This model will be available exclusively at G-SHOCK’s official website and in G-SHOCK stores.
