H1-KEY has made their highly anticipated debut with their first single album ‘Athletic Girl’ last Wednesday. The girl group is managed by Grandline Group (GLG), a subsidiary of the hip hop label Grandline Entertainment.

The quartet comprising Seoii (leader), Riina (sub vocalist), Yel (maknae) and Sitala (main rapper) has been revealed to the public since the end of last year. However, its Thai member, Sitala has been embroiled in a controversy surrounding her family’s alleged political ties.

During the online press conference, they shared their thoughts on their first single, citing the song as a way to showcase their vitality and confidence.

As reported by The Korean Times, its leader, Seoii stated that “It is a song that speaks for us, which emphasizes the significance of inner power. Since it is our first release, we tried our best to convey our message sincerely.”

“We hope we can display our unique charm and colour to the public. It will also be great if we can cheer people up with our bright energy,” said Riina when asked about their hope during the promotion.

The hip hop song features choreography that exudes their distinctive style and skill. As of today, their official video managed to garner a total of 583K views.
