LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled its latest innovation, LG OLED Flex, a revolutionary new TV boasting the world’s first bendable, 42-inch OLED screen. The LG OLED Flex model LX3 inaugurates a new era of screen customization, which makes it ideal for immersive consoles, PC, cloud gaming, live TV broadcasts and content streaming services.
Equipped with backlight-free and self-lit OLED technology, its exceptional display can transition from flat to magnificently curved (900R), allowing users to select their preferred arc from over twenty levels of curvature for a personalised experience. Aside from height-adjustability, the screen can be tilted upwards to 10 degrees or away up to five degrees for ergonomic comfort.
The LG OLED Flex will make users feel like they are part of the on-screen action with its limitless contrast, deep blacks, exceptionally accurate colours ,lightning-fast 0.1 millisecond response time, and low input latency. It offers unparalleled eye comfort allowing users to enjoy longer gaming sessions and binge-watch their favourite shows. It also features a flicker-free and super anti-reflection (SAR) coating to eliminate visual distractions.
For gamers, the LG OLED Flex improves the gaming experience with its innovative features, which allow gamers to adjust the size of the onscreen image based on individual preferences or the genre of the game. The image resizing feature is easily accessible through the ultra-convenient Gaming Dashboard menu, where users can also choose the position of the image.
The new Game app, which is available exclusively for the LG OLED Flex, provides custom screensavers, shortcuts to popular apps and a list of connected external input devices, all on the same screen. The sound setting is also dedicated to the ultimate gaming immersion and content-viewing experience with equaliser switches for AI Game Sound and built-in support for Dolby AtmosTM.
Other outstanding features worth mentioning are that the LG OLED Flex supports Dolby VisionTM gaming at 4K 120Hz and HDMI 2.1 features, including refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM). Its shield-like rear design contains a customizable lighting function. The lighting of the LX3 enhances the ambience by synchronising with the video or audio of the content playing on screen. There are five distinct settings to select from.
