Football fans in Singapore, don’t miss the chance to catch the live pre-season match between two Premium League (PL) giants – Liverpool or Crystal Palace – LIVE in Singapore on 15 July!
For the inaugural Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy 2022, both teams will go head-to-head to snag the victory in a winner-takes-it-all match happening at the National Stadium. The Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy 2022 will mark also their first time in the country.
In addition to the match, there will also be an Open Training Session at the National Stadium on 14 July, Thursday.
The fans can look forward to the long-awaited return of the Reds to the city after more than a decade. The club has won 79 League titles and is flying high this season as they currently sit at second place in the PL with 79 points, a point behind leader Manchester United FC. Liverpool has also booked a spot at the FIFA Cup finals where they will go against Chelsea FC at Wembley for a title clash on 14 May.
“Pre-season is a vital time of year for our players, it’s hugely important preparation for the season ahead and it’s also a perfect opportunity to meet with our fans around the world.

Patrick Vieira led Crystal Palace FC to the FA Cup Semi-finals for the first time since 2016 this season. The last time the Eagles faced the Reds in Asia was back in 2017, where they lost 2-0 in Hongkong during a pre-season match.

TEG Sport and Left Field Live, the event organisers for this year’s pre-game match in Singapore, were also behind the Brazil Global Tour 2019. The event showcased a friendly match between powerhouse Brazil teams, Senegal and Nigeria, in Singapore. Fans were able to see football stars Neymar, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane in action at the National Stadium.
