How Does It Work?
Next-generation style barrels with a spinning cool tip make achieving curls and waves faster and easier. Furthermore, it doesn’t cause heat damage to hair, which helps to retain its strength. By combining the results of two barrels into one attachment, you can now style the entire head. You can generate clockwise and anti-clockwise curls and waves without having to switch attachments in the middle of a style. Along with an all-new dual-purpose Coanda smoothing dryer, re-engineered brush attachments give precision shaping with improved Coanda performance. The Coanda smoothing dryer, which combines two attachments in one, hides flyaways in a single pass and changes into a powerful drier with the flip of a switch.
For the first time, owners of the Dyson Airwrap styler may upgrade to these new attachments while keeping their original machine. This is in line with the machine’s overall sustainability mindset: developing in a digital environment minimises the need for physical prototyping, resulting in significant energy and material savings. Engineers have been able to miniaturise air vents to attain a degree of airflow velocity, pressure, and control never seen before thanks to this iterative process of trial and error.

Dyson engineers from labs in Malmesbury, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines have worked together since its inception in 2018.
