No Sleep Club Review
If it’s your first time at No Sleep Club, then you’re probably on the lookout for some recommendations. Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’re going to run you through some of the menu’s highlights that you should try!
1. Blackmore Wagyu Tartare
We have to say that any tartare dish is an acquired taste. Not everyone will enjoy it. But when done right, it fills your taste buds with exploding flavours and incredible textures. At No Sleep Club, this aged beef tartare is seasoned perfectly, exuding a unique smokey taste. Accompanying the tartare is some pickled jalapenos and crisp’d cauliflower. These add some spice and crunch as well. To make things better, the dish is plated beautifully, making it a great addition to your Instagram feed.
2. Sunday Roast
A Sunday Roast is a classic British meal consisting of roasted meat, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. In addition, there are also condiments such as apple sauce, mint sauce, or redcurrant jelly. A Sunday Roast is generally eaten on Sunday, and rightfully, you can find it on Sundays at No Sleep Club. This dish comes with Yorkshire pudding and gravy, and you can even pick your own choice of meat. Stay classic with the beef or go for the Asian twist of pork. Whichever you decide, we guarantee you will love it!
3. Fillet O Fish
Here’s something that’s a play on the famous McDonald’s item, the Fillet O Fish. While it’s name may sound familiar, what you get is completely different from the burger. In fact, this dish features a barra fillet with a caper and lemon brown butter sauce. And yes, the fillet is seared skin side down so you get a delicious and crispy skin. Thus, our No Sleep Club review is that if you’re looking for a simple dish to try out, this is the one.
4. Potato Gnocchi
Many think gnocchi is a pasta dish, and while it may look like that, it’s actually not true. Gnocchi is basically a potato dumpling – that’s right. Furthermore, potato gnocchi dishes are usually cooked in a simple brown butter and sage sauce. However, at No Sleep Club you get extra octopus, chorizo, and shallots. So, instead of just carbs, you get an entire balanced meal in a single dish. There’s truly no better dish we would recommend to you in our No Sleep Club review article.
5. Grilled Octopus
If there’s one type of meat that’s difficult to execute, it’s the octopus. When you cook it too little, it’s still chewy. But if you cook it too much, it becomes way too rubbery and destroys the entire dining experience. Lucky for us, No Sleep Club are experts when it comes to grilling octopuses. Not only is this dish beautifully plated but the octopus is buttery and tender. When eaten with the corn and smoked almonds, they add extra sweetness and some crunch. For our No Sleep Club review, we definitely recommend this dish.
6. Gin And Tonic
As for the cocktails, we highly recommend the gin and tonic, especially if you’re someone who prefers light cocktails. Nevertheless, instead of just regular gin and tonic, No Sleep Club takes it to the next level. Made with guava and salted plum, it exudes a slight sour taste that everyone will enjoy.
7. Hay And Apples
A signature at No Sleep Club is the Hay And Apples cocktail. This concoction features fresh and toasted hay whisky, chamomile honey, and fresh and fermented apples. So if you enjoy whisky and love something fruity then this is the perfect cocktail for you. If you want to know deeper on how it’s made, the toasted hay is quickly sous vide in scotch. Then, the mix is carbonated with fermented apples. What you get is a beautiful and tasty combination.
8. Reverse Hardvard
Are you a fan of grapes? Then the Reverse Hardvard is the cocktail for you. Made from all things grapes, it highlights vermouth alongside aged oolong and kelp cognac. But that’s not all as it also features paco-tized Kyoho grapes and citrus. However, it’s not as sour as it sounds. It also has a hint of sweetness and bitterness from the liquor.
