Versace Fall/Winter 2023 Show: An Ode To The Golden Age Glamour

The energy, glamour, and power of Hollywood

Contrary to the usual launch at Milan Fashion Week, the Versace Fall/Winter 2023 show debuted at the Pacific Design Center, set against the backdrop of the Los Angeles skyline.

Inspired by the energy, glamour, and power of Hollywood, the collection fuses Golden Age glamour with contemporary design that showcases Atelier Versace craftsmanship.

The maison pays homage to its iconic Spring-Summer 1995 collection with Signature Versace straight-shouldered, box-pleat A-line skirts and folded structural bust dresses, which can be seen across the entire Versace Fall/Winter 2023 collection.

According to Donatella Versace, “This collection starts from the understanding and appreciation of the body that we have always had in our heart at Versace. We applied the lessons learned in the Atelier to ready-to-wear: the construction, the tailoring, the beauty of fabric. This is a celebration of our craftsmanship and understanding of true luxury to create a wardrobe for the innovators and changers of the world and the people who champion them.”

“For me, Los Angeles is a natural home for us because we share the DNA of energy, power, creativity, and imagination. Together at this show we share those values around the globe,” she added.

With the adverse weather expected on Friday, the fashion house was forced to reschedule its runway show one day earlier. However, it does not stop A-list Hollywood celebrities and their fans from showing up.

The star-studded event was attended by a slew of celebrities, including Elton John, Cher, Anne Hathaway, Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Channing Tatum, Pamela Anderson, T.O.P, Rissa Naka, Rola, Park Ji-Gu, Lee Min Jung, Lee Gyung Hun and Ke Huy Quan.

The show was opened by Gigi Hadid, who strutted the runway with an hourglass jacket that is embellished with signature Medusa buttons and a pencil skirt. Other notable models include Naomi Campbell, who graced the catwalk with a beaded bustier dress, and Kendall Jenner, who donned a voluminous puff sleeve dress paired with pink satin pumps.

The Versace Fall/Winter 2023 Show, which was a joint collection for women’s and men’s collections, illustrated 78 looks with accessories like La Medusa, Medusa Case and Medusa Royale.
