ZoukOut Singapore has announced their comeback after almost three years of hiatus.
Touted as the largest music festival in Singapore, ZoukOut is set to be held across two days, 2nd and 3rd December this year, which marks its 19th edition.
What Is ZoukOut
Since 2000, Singapore has hosted an annual dance music event called ZoukOut. It is one of the largest music and dance events in Asia, and it is put on by Zouk Singapore. Paul Van Dyk, 2ManyDJS, Masters at Work, Gilles Peterson, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Peter Kruder, James Lavelle, Armin Van Buuren, and Stereo MC’s are just a few of the DJs that have played at ZoukOut. Between 2005 and 2020, ZoukOut also three times took up the Singapore Tourism Board’s “Best Leisure Event Experience” award.
What To Expect
According to the press release, this year’s theme, The Futuristic City of Dreams, will see the beach turned into a full-fledged festival ground that will take partygoers “on a journey that transcends time into a future of make-believe.”
“The monumental return of ZoukOut not only brings back the biggest beloved dance music festival set on Singapore’s shores, it also marks the return of entertainment on a grand scale, and further establishes the Zouk Group as a global lifestyle destination group. Partnering with world-renowned AEG, who brings an incomparable international festival experience, enables us to take ZoukOut to another level, now and for many years to come,” said Andrew Li, CEO of Zouk Group.
It is reported that the ZoukOut festival will last more than 12 hours, with the second night wrapping up only at 8 in the morning. The dusk-to-dawn event, which has been a staple of many people’s memories since 1991, will include up to 30,000 partygoers, local, regional, and international performances, as well as the return of a culinary village, experience booths, unique installations, roving acts, and Instagrammable stage designs.
