Best Alfresco Bars In Singapore

1. Analogue Initiative

Analogue Initiative is a hidden gem in Chijmes with a desire to reinvent eating experiences. It is revolutionising the contemporary social scene with sustainable operations and consumables by utilising various means, ingredients, and technology. We love the warmly lit outside seats at this hip repurposed bar in Singapore’s alfresco dining area, which also features a 3D-printed bar. Choose a drink that was produced sustainably and revel in it.

Another great alfresco bar to visit in Singapore is Timbre X S.E.A. It has a long history of presenting local bands for thrilling live music nights within the stunning and historic ancient parliament house. Enjoy a round of drinks and their renowned thin-crust pizzas whilst you dance the night away. If you’re just trying to unwind, relax while listening to music and take in the nighttime scenery. No matter what, you and your friends are bound to have a flipping good time!

3. Yin

Yin encourages bar-hoppers to unwind by the river and is located within The Riverhouse at Clarke Quay. Right beside the contemporary Chinese restaurant Mimi and nightclub Yang. You can relax by watching sporting events and listening to live music between drinks. Be sure to sample some of the house drinks like the ‘High’ Tea and Rendezvous. If you are feeling adventurous, try the spicy mala margarita for a challenge.

4. Hopscotch

Besides a variety of art galleries, Gillman Barracks is also home to hipster Hopscotch. a pub and one of the best alfresco bars that are openly in touch with its Singaporean heritage. Each trip here is unique since the menu is updated often, and the outside tables are perfect for holding rowdy group meetings. Be prepared for the unexpected with their drinks because the bartenders are creative and eager to try new things. Sesame oil, chicken essence, and shallot-washed vodka are some of the unusual elements in the mixture. Already piqued our interest! If you enjoy being surprised, just give the bartenders three phrases to describe your preferred flavours and watch them work their magic.

5. Barbary Coast

One of the best alfresco bars in Singapore is Barbary Coast thanks to its affordability. Although we adore Boat Quay’s latest dual-concept bar, Deadfall comes to mind when we want a drink without any frills. The chillax haunt includes a modest open-air seating area beside the bar for weekend lounging or after-work cocktails. It is definitely grungier and more primitive than her upstairs sibling. The best part is that the beers and beverages here are affordable. So, you won’t have to worry about putting a hole in your wallet.

6. Wanderlost Lounge

Not everyone who stumbles onto this hidden gem is lost, especially if you’re looking for a fantastic mocktail. It is one of the best alfresco bars in Singapore with an eccentric environment, designed by The Halal Mixologist. Moreover, it is filled with various trinkets and green pockets as well. However, what we truly adore about it is the alfresco area lighted with fluorescent letters and fairy lights. Although there is obviously no alcohol offered on the premises, you may still have a blast raising a glass to cocktails with clever names like The Little Prince, Hamlet, Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland.

7. Wala Wala Cafe Bar

As far as our memories go, Wala Wala has been one of the pioneers of the live music scene. A fixture in Holland Village, this well-known neighbourhood hangout forgoes any ornamental flourishes since what you see is exactly what you get. Regrettably, after hosting live bands for 20 years, its renowned second-floor performance area was shut down back in 2021. Still, it’s a warm, laid-back place to unwind with a beverage in hand and people-watch.
