The Bold, The Brave, And The Boring: See What Celebrities Wore To The 2024 Oscars

Our favourite season is award season.

It’s that time of the year again – Oscars night! Hollywood’s biggest celebrities come together for the 96th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. This year, the festivities were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel – his second consecutive year as host, and fourth overall.

The atmosphere was particularly charged, as huge movies like Barbie, Oppenheimer, Poor Things, and Killers of the Flower Moon  were all up for Best Picture. As always, plenty of things happened at the Oscars, like John Cena being naked on stage, Liza Koshy taking a tumble on the red carpet – it just wouldn’t be the Oscars without some sort of drama (who can forget Will Smith slapping Chris Rock last year?).

However, we’re here to take a look at the fashion. Celebs often bring their A-game to the Academy Awards, and this year isn’t any different. Let’s check out all the best – and the ok-ok only – looks from this year’s Oscars!

Must-See Looks from the Oscars Red Carpet 2024

1. Zendaya

Does Zendaya ever get tired of slaying? We certainly aren’t tired of her incredible outfits, and she hits every single time. Dressed in Armani Privé, this glimmering printed ensemble does wonders for her figure, and her curled bob just completes the Hollywood glam.

2. America Ferrera

Can we just say, BODY-ODY-ODY? America Ferrera is showing the world that Barbie pink isn’t going anywhere. The Ugly Betty alum stuns in a custom Versace, and this look has quickly become one of our favourites ever from her, period.

3. Anya Taylor-Joy

Emma herself, in all her glory. Anya Taylor-Joy is no stranger to making best-dressed lists, and she does it again in this show-stopping Dior gown. And at her very first ever Oscars, no less!

4. Emma Stone

Before breaking her Louis Vuitton gown while dancing to Ryan Gosling’s very memorable “I’m Just Ken” performance, Emma Stone turned heads in this baby blue ensemble. Millennials wills be pleased (or horrified?) to know that peplum might very well be on its way back in style.

5. Ke Huy Quan

One word: slay. Ke Huy Quan serves in Giorgio Armani, and although he seemed to be snubbed by Robert Downey Jr while presenting him his Oscar, Ke Huy Quan will always be in our hearts.

6. Lupita Nyong’o

Can we just talk about Lupita Nyong’o’s amazingly toned arms? The Black Panther star dazzled us all with her shimmery, feathery, beautiful Giorgio Armani dress, and with a dress that has this much going on, we feel like only Lupita Nyong’o could pull this off.

7. Carey Mulligan

We never though that Cristobal Balenciaga’s iconic dress from the 1950s would ever see the light of day again, and Carey Mulligan has just shown everybody up. I mean, the cinched waist, the scallop velvet trim, the contrasting cream tulle, the long gloves – you just can’t go wrong with old Hollywood glam.

8. Ariana Grande

We already know that Ariana Grande is a fan of huge, poofy dresses (2020 Grammys ring a bell), but this ensemble by Giambattista Valli is a miss for us. In our not-so-professional opinion, she could’ve done without the humongous wrap; it looks like she’s inside an intestine.

9. Riz Ahmed

Finally, a man who’s not wearing a suit on the red carpet, and he looks damn good doing it. Riz Ahmed is giving chic in MARNI from their Fall/Winter 2024, and it’s a total breath of fresh air.

10. Vanessa Hudgens

Does this fit remind anyone else of The Rock…? Dressed in Vera Wang and complete with Chopard jewels, the High School Musical alum is carrying the chicest accessory – a baby! Literally mother.
