One of music’s biggest nights, the MTV VMA is no stranger to hosting some of the most daring and outrageous looks from celebrities. Cardi B stunned at this years MTV VMA’s pink carpet in a custom silver Dilara Findikoglu. Complete with matching handcuffs, this outfit was reportedly made with over a 1000 hair pins. We can’t imagine how heavy it must have been!
2. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift racked up a whopping 11 nominations and won 9 awards – she won more awards in a single night than Kanye West has won in a lifetime, just saying. The megastar was draped in a thigh-baring Versace number, bold winged eyeliner, and a stack of necklaces, and she looked so reputationcoded, IMO.
3. Selena Gomez
Red may not be her song, but it’s definitely Selena’s colour. Florals on the red carpet may be a little passé, but the cut outs and vines draping down brought a breath of fresh air to the carpet. We love this beaded, red lace look from Oscar de la Renta , and her minimal accessories really let the outfit shine
4. Doja Cat
Our spidey senses are tingling! Doja Cat showed us all that the barely there, naked dress trend is here to stay, and we’re all here for it. Covered in a cobweb-inspired dress by Ap0cene, the “Juicy” singer really turned heads.
5. Nicki Minaj
If Barbie got married in a Victorian goth ceremony, this is probably what she would wear. Nicki Minaj served in a Dolce & Gabbana number, complete in a bridal veil, and we’re so obsessed with this look.
6. Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Rodrigo may have kept it simple with the hair and makeup, and the silhouette of the dress isn’t much to write home about either, but the way this dress sparkles and shimmers like glistening water when it moves has us going aaaaahhhhh.
7. Coco Jones
The belt as a mini top, the mermaid-cut leather skirt, the giant bling, the old Hollywood hair – no notes. Coco Jones absolutely slayed the house boots down in Moschino.
8. Doechii
Let’s just say that we think that Doechii’s extremely naked dress that barely covered anything, leg warmer gloves, and trucker hat combination is a little…unconventional. Sure is memorable, though.
9. Saweetie
If anybody can use giant bones as accessories, it’s none other than Saweetie. The Icy Grl looked phenomenal in Area Couture, and she even poked fun at the Flintstone memes, captioning her Instagram post with #yabadabadoo.
10. Stephen Sanchez
We’re living for Stephen Sanchez’s all-black suit, featuring a giant blue bow that really topped off the look. Finished off with a bamboo top handle Gucci bag, we’re really loving this era of men carrying handbags.
