Art is one of the greatest forms of self-expression and storytelling. Discover moving tales and struggles, told through various forms of art at Tropical: Stories from Southeast Asia and Latin America from the 18th of November 2023 until the 24th of March 2024.

Held at the National Gallery Singapore, the museum exhibition showcases over 200 artworks, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, performances, and sensory installations, Tropical covers the 20th century and it explores how artists from both regions defied conventions, nurtured alliances, and boldly asserted their presence against colonialism in the narrative of art.

The exhibit features over 75 artists such as David Medalla, Diego Rivera, Emiria Sunassa, Frida Kahlo, and more.

Tickets for the Special Exhibition which will provide visitors with access to Singtel Special Exhibition Galleries and Hélio Oiticica’s “Tropicália” installation are available at $25 (Standard) and $15.
