Here’s Our Ranking of Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two Press Tour Looks So Far

The red carpet Queen is back
By: Astrid Zulhaime / February 15, 2024

Forget the highly-anticipated sequel to the movie Dune (2020), Zendaya’s explosive return to the red carpet is what we’re more interested in! The entire cast of Dune: Part Two is currently travelling the world for the movie’s international press tour, including Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Josh Brolin, and Rebecca Ferguson. Even amidst this star-studded cast, all eyes remain firmly planted on Zendaya and her fashion-forward ensembles.

What we love the most about Zendaya’s red carpet looks is how she — alongside stylist and friend Law Roach — never fails to pay homage to the movie she’s promoting through her wardrobe. With an epic science fiction film like Dune: Part Two, set on a sandy planet light-years in the future, the 27-year-old has opted for avant-garde and futuristic-looking pieces. A word of warning: ranking Zendaya’s jaw-dropping Dune: Part Two press tour looks is not an easy task, so don’t try this at home.

Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two Press Tour Looks From The Most Stunning To The Least

1. Torishéju

Try as we might, this custom Torishéju outfit Zendaya wore to a photocall in Mexico City just can’t play second fiddle to any other look. Designed by Torishéju Dumi, a British-Nigerian-Brazilian designer based in London, the red, black, and grey two-piece is inspired by traditional wrap attire worn by the natives in Dumi’s culture. We especially love the use of circular shapes in the top and skirt — a nod to the sandworms in Dune?

2. Louis Vuitton

When visiting the world’s fashion capital, Paris, everyone knows to bring their A-game. Zendaya and Law Roach certainly put in the work and delivered. Rocking another two-piece set consisting of a hooded sleeveless crop top and wide poufy skirt, Zendaya’s custom Louis Vuitton look is golden perfection. The shimmery texture of the outfit reminds us of billowing sand dunes. As the face of Bulgari, Zendaya elevates the look with vintage Bulgari jewellery.

3. Bottega Veneta

Noticing a two-piece pattern with Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two press tour looks? It’s hard to complain when they’re all so divine. Zendaya’s daring outfit worn to the movie’s premiere in Mexico looks like a fountain of dark chocolate straight from our wildest dreams. On the runway, this custom Bottega Veneta two-piece included a matching croc-patterned undershirt worn underneath the long-sleeved turtleneck crop top. Needless to say, we prefer Zendaya’s spin on the look.

4. Roksanda

The Queen of the red carpet doesn’t earn the title by simply wearing garments that everyone else has access to. At the press tour’s London stop, Zendaya wore a dark purple Roksanda Fall/Winter 2024 look ahead of the runway show. Goodbye fresh off-the-runway, hello before-the-runway! Though we’re generally not fans of pants worn under skirts, Zendaya manages to pull it off, to no one’s surprise. The golden ear cuffs also pair perfectly with this oversized blazer look.

5. Alaïa

Yes, we placed an Alaïa look last on our list. But before you raise your pitchforks, we absolutely adore this La Robe Spirale dress from Alaïa Spring 2024. Designed by Pieter Mulier, this snow white dress (you read that right, it’s made out of one single piece of cloth) is one of the most raved about garments of the season and had Zendaya’s name written all over it before she even wore it to the Paris photocall. We’re just a teensy bit more in love with the fresh-faced makeup look Zendaya paired this bandeau dress with. Either way, she’s a stunner.

Honourable Mentions

Vivienne Westwood

Why aren’t there any decent pictures of Zendaya rocking this Vivienne Westwood minidress anywhere on the Internet?? This dreamy silver swirly garb is a tribute to the recently deceased Queen of Rock & Roll, Tina Turner. Tina Turner’s character in the 1985 film Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, Aunty Entity, famously wore a silver chainmail dress that the look is inspired by. If only we were blessed with a closer look at Zendaya’s full ensemble.

Balmain

Like a true fashionista, Zendaya shirks pesky social constructs like gender in pursuit of making a lasting mark in fashion history. During the Paris press tour, she also wore this very Dune-coded pantsuit from Balmain’s Autumn/Winter 2024 Menswear collection. A gorgeous sand-coloured look, we adore the way the dramatic high-neck top with padded shoulders complements the slouchy trousers. But dare we say that the inclusion of gold accessories similar to the runway version would have elevated the look?

We can’t wait to see what else Zendaya has in store for us throughout the rest of the Dune: Part Two press tour! Which one is your favourite look? Tell us and be sure to follow Glitz on Instagram and Facebook!
